Abstract：A new low-temperature blackbody radiation source is developed as low as -30 ℃ by semiconductor refrigeration technology and heat pipe technology. The temperature stability is better than 0.02 ℃/20min, axial temperature uniformity of this cavity wall is better than 0.3 ℃ and the effective emissivity of the heat pipe cavity is higher than 0.999 2 by experimental research. The effective emissivity of the blackbody cavity is evaluated by optical ray tracing with a Monte Carlo method, it is calculated that the emissivity of the heat pipe cavity from the center to the edge is gradually decreasing, and the average rate of change of the emissivity is only 0.06 ‰, it shows that the axial uniformity of the temperature field has little effect on the normal mean effective emissivity.
