Acta Metrologica Sinica is an academic journal sponsored by the Chinese Society for Measurement, published bimonthly (odd months) and distributed domestically and internationally. It reports the latest research achievements and advances in metrology and precision measurement science and technology in China. Its readership includes technical professionals engaged in metrology and measurement work, as well as faculty and students of universities and colleges.
2. The journal accepts original academic papers and research notes covering the following themes: development of metrological primary standards, reference standards and measurement systems; research on measurement principles and methodologies as well as applications of new technologies; reviews on the current state of metrological disciplines and forecasts of their development trends.
3. This journal has been included in Chinese Academic Journal (CD-ROM Edition), the China Journal Net and other databases.
4. Manuscript requirements are specified as follows:
4.1 Manuscripts shall feature clear arguments, reliable data, concise text and legible figures and tables, and be submitted as clean final drafts. Full papers (including figures and tables) shall generally not exceed 7,000 words, while research notes shall be limited to 2,000 words. Each manuscript shall be preceded by a Chinese abstract and 4 to 8 Chinese keywords, together with English translations of the paper title, author names and affiliations, as well as an English abstract and English keywords. Abstracts shall contain approximately 200 words to carry sufficient information, enabling domestic and international readers to gain a general understanding of the research problems addressed, underlying principles, adopted methods, obtained results and corresponding evaluations. Manuscripts written entirely in English must be accompanied by the Chinese title, author names, Chinese abstract and Chinese keywords.
4.2 Units of physical quantities and symbols shall comply with relevant national standards, and all terminology shall be standardized.
4.3 All illustrations shall be concise and accurate. Photographs shall feature sharp images and distinct gradations. Each illustration shall be labelled with a figure number, title and caption underneath. All tables shall carry a table number and table title. Figures or tables may be omitted if relevant data can be fully described in text, to avoid redundant presentation of identical data across text, tables and figures.
4.4 Citations of others’ research outcomes or publications shall clearly indicate sources. Only key references shall be listed; general textbooks and unpublished materials shall be excluded. References shall be compiled in accordance with the sequential coding system specified in GB/T 7714–2025

All authors shall be listed for works with three or fewer contributors; for publications with more than three authors, only the first three names shall be given, followed by "et al." or its equivalent expression.
4.5 Submissions must state the authors’ real names, affiliations, full mailing addresses, postal codes and contact phone numbers. The journal only accepts online submissions and charges no peer review fees. After review, the editorial department reserves the right to make appropriate textual revisions to manuscripts, or return them to authors for revision when necessary. Multiple submissions of the same manuscript to different journals are prohibited. Manuscripts not accepted for publication will be returned to the authors. A reasonable page charge will be levied for manuscripts scheduled for publication.
5. All submissions shall be accompanied by information on supporting fund projects (with grant numbers) and a brief biography of the first author, including year of birth, gender, ethnicity, hometown, professional position, main research focus and E-mail address.
Upon publication of accepted manuscripts, complimentary journal copies will be delivered to authors, and remuneration will be paid in accordance with relevant national regulations.
