Measurement of Young’s Modulus of Soft Tissue Mimicking Phantom by Indentation Test |

Abstract The measuring equipment of Young’ modulus of soft materials was developed based on indentation test. Finite element method (FEM) was utilized to determine the coefficients between Young’s modulus and indentation profiles. Then the Young’s modulus of elastic samples was calibrated by indentation method. Furthermore, the elastic phantoms were measured by commercialized transient elastography equipment. The agreements of measured elastic parameters and the results by indentation method are to verify the feasibility of elastic quantity’s transferring.
