Abstract A new structure of magnet-electric induction torsional vibration measurement device is designed, which can directly convert the instantaneous torsional vibration of gear transmission system into the corresponding electrical signal. The mechanical structure and operation principle of this device is introduced, and the output characteristic is induced. The instantaneous torsional vibration of gear transmission system under no load、rated load and variable voltage speed control is measured directly by this device, and the operation principle of this device is verified through the experiments. The measurement results are analyzed by spectrum, the results show that the amplitude of main components of instantaneous torsional vibration is decreasing with the decreasing of power voltage.
