Abstract Based on the analysis of arc fault characteristics,the phenomenon of zero-off-cycle of arc fault is proposed.This characteristic information is showed as periodic singular points if it is analyzed by wavelet, so a new algorithm, periodic singular points detection for arc fault is proposed.LabWindows/CVI is used as the platform,based on wavelet singularity detection principle,the arc fault on-line detection system is designed and developed.The system used multi-threading technology,realized the arc fault’s real-time on-line detection.
