Research on Characteristic of Ultrasound Field and Visualization Measurement

Abstract  To study the piston ultrasound field, a visualization quantitative technique is exploited. High accuracy scanning system based on high frequency hydrophone is already built, and then the study on about beam-width and effective diameter parameters are carried out which produced by the plane piston transducer. Experimental results show that the visualization system can directly reveals space distribution of ultrasonic field, experiment and theoretical results agree very well, and the system can provide a reliable method for evaluating ultrasound equipments or transducers.
