Abstract The design and correction factor evaluation of a WR19 (40~60 GHz) rectangular waveguide microcalorimeter which is based on a kind of thermistance power sensor is presented.This new kind of microcalorimeter will be developed as a 40~60 GHz microwave power standard of NIM.It can measure the effective efficiency of a wider frequency range of transfer standards than that of the previous microcalorimeter.The evaluation of correction factor is also given.
