Abstract  A method for data analysis for thermal conductivity measurement using transient hot-wire method is present. Numerical simulation is introduced in data processing. Finite volume method is used to solve the control equations. The finial result is obtained by comparison of the simulated temperature curve with the experimental temperature curve. The presented method is very effective for experimental data analysis. The correct result could be gotten with much less data points, which is very helpful for the design of experimental system.
