Abstract In the random sampling system, analog interpolation technique is used frequently to improve the equivalent sampling rate.But time interval measurement (TIM) circuit is affected by temperature, device characteristics, random noise and other factors, so the time interval measurement error increases tremendously.The origin and affection of primary error is analyzed, and the method of reducing error is offered, for example, coherent averaging and low pass filter.It improves the accuracy of TIM and the signal to noise ratio of the waveform.The experimental results show that the effective number of bits(ENOB) is improved approximately 3 bit,the signal-to noise ratio improved by about 2 times.
