Research on Size-of-Source Effect in FTIR Infrared Spectroscopy System Based on Direct Method |

Abstract Size-of-Source Effect (SSE) is one of the important sources of uncertainty affecting radiation measurement. Based on the method of direct measurement of SSE, this paper builds NIM with a variable temperature blackbody radiation source traced to the high temperature reference of Chinese Institute of Metrology (NIM). The SSE experimental study was performed on a Fourier infrared spectrometer infrared spectroscopy system (FTIR system). The short-term temperature stability and furnace temperature uniformity of the R976 blackbody radiation source were measured. The optimization experimental study on the SSE characteristics of FTIR spectroscopy system was carried out. The effects of different diameter aperture stop and aperture position in the optical system on the size effect of the FTIR system radiation source are analyzed. The results show that when the diameter of the radiation source is 50mm, the diameter of the limiting aperture and the field aperture in the optical system are 35mm and 10mm respectively, and the influence of SSE on the FTIR system at the wavelength of 3.9μm is less than 2×10^(-3).
