Abstract  Both effective spectral emissivity and radiance temperature are discussed The measuring methods and apparatus of spectral emissivity are introducedThe calculation equation for spectral emissivity is given, which has a concern with the environment radiation.  It indicates that the effect of environment radiation should be taken into account on the measurements for spectral emissivity at medium and low temperatures, otherwise a significant measuring error will be introduced.
