Abstract When using shock tube for dynamic calibration of pressure measuring system with transmission pipe, the medium in the pipe may change the dynamic characteristics of pressure measuring system, which in turn affects the evaluation of the performance of the pressure measuring system. By establishing the pressure propagation model in the pipe, the principle and factors affecting the dynamic characteristics of the pressure measuring system with transmission pipe were analyzed, and the dynamic pressure calibration experiment using shock tube for pressure measuring system with damping hole and without damping hole under the conditions of air, decanedioic acid and silicone grease was carried out. The experimental results showed that the medium had a significant effects on the dynamic characteristics of the pressure measuring system, such as rise time and resonance frequency. The resonance frequency varies by more than 10 times.
