Abstract  The formula food for special medical use is the only source of nutrition for some people, and the accurate quantification of biotin is of great significance. The microbiological method specified in GB 5009.259—2016 was used to determine the content of biotin. The standard uncertainty and expanded uncertainty of biotin were evaluated. The results showed that the content of biotin was (27.16±1.15)μg/100g, p=95%, k=2. The contribution of each component to the uncertainty was analyzed. The results showed that the experimental repeatability was the main influencing factor and the key control point for the determination of biotin by microbiological method.
