Joule Balance Alignment Energy Error Evaluation by Horizontal Ampere Force and Electromagnetic Torque

Abstract  Based on the principle of the joule balance method, the generating mechanism of the misalignment situation of the characteristic vectors on the suspended coil was studied, and the coupling influence between the horizontal ampere force and electromagnetic torque was analyzed, thus the principle of the influence on the alignment error by the horizontal force and torque was revealed. The decoupling structure based on two flexure hinge was designed to decouple the horizontal force and torque in the range of action, and the solving models for the force and torque were also established based on the torque-balance-principle. Finally, the relative alignment error caused by the horizontal ampere force and the electromagnetic torque was evaluated to be approximately 1×10-6 based on the solving models.
