Research on a Novel Hall Angle Sensor

Abstract  A new Hall angle sensor is designed, the mechanical structure and working principle of sensor are introduced in detail, and the output characteristics of the sensor are deduced according to magnetic circuit law and Hall effect, the derived results show that the sensor output Hall potential is proportional to the input angle, and there is no zero voltage for the output voltage of Hall sensor is differential. The finite element model of sensor is established, the magnetic field of sensor when in working are simulated, and the sensor measurement principle is verified. Finally, the output characteristics of sensor are measured, the experimental results show that the sensitivity of the sensor is about 105 mV/(°), the linear error is about 0.12%, the repeatability error is about 0.19%.
