A Method of CT/ECT Image Fusion Based on Wavelet Transform

Abstract  In the multi-phase flow parameter measurement based on industrial CT and ECT, CT reconstruction of the image resolution is higher, however its low projection angle, it can cause the reconstruction image edge distortion. For the ECT system, because of its sensitive field soft field feature, reconstructed image resolution is low, but the image edge fidelity is high. Based on the complementary characteristics of the two methods, the CT/ECT image fusion method was studied. The improved logic filter algorithm was applied to the low frequency coefficient fusion rules of wavelet transform. The results showed that the method can improve the quality of reconstructed image after fusion.
