Abstract  The principle of AC internal resistance measurement function of battery testers was analyzed. The calibration method based on AC standard resistor and inductive voltage divider was researched. A multi-decades two-stage inductive voltage divider was used to change the voltage of AC standard resistor in proportion. As a result, a high accuracy AC resistance box with multi-decades was simulated, which solved the problem of lack of standard for the calibration of battery internal resistance testers. The influence of both the time constant of AC resistor and phase error of inductive voltage divider was analyzed. The calibration results of the mentioned method and that used the physical resistors were compared. The difference was less than 0.02% over the full scale range, which proved the high accuracy of the above method.
