Abstract  The use of satellite navigation receivers for high-precision time synchronization is a simple and effective timing synchronization means. The accurate time delay measurement of navigation receiver is the precondition of high precision timing, and the delay of output second pulse signal is the key to the long-distance timing synchronization. Based on the determination of the delay of the satellite navigation receiving system, by analyzing the delayed composition and characteristics of the satellite navigation receiver, the delay composition model of the satellite navigation receiver is established, the method of delay determination of the satellite navigation receiver is developed, and a complete delay determination system of the satellite navigation receiver is set up. The calibration and experimental verification of the system are also carried out
