Further Discussion on Characteristics of Staircase Waveform

Abstract  Staircase waveform is a bridge from DC to AC measurement, and will be a potential bridge from static to dynamic state. Based on classification of sinusoidal type staircase waveforms their characteristics are researched. Combining a figure and an infinite series, the special aliasing effect with staircase waveform is analyzed, in which the parameter is extended from positive integer to real number, and relevant physical meanings and their properties are pointed out. These characteristics of the staircase waveform will provide an important basis for their metrology application.
