Abstract  Neutron ambient dose equivalent (rate) meters must be calibrated accurately in proper methods as the main instruments for monitoring of neutron radiation level. A comparison for the calibration of ambient dose equivalent meters in ISO neutron reference fields (APMP.RI(III)-S1) was hold in 2012 to support the calibrating capability declared by the member of Asia Pacific Metrology Programme. The neutron radiation field based on the radionuclide neutron sources were recommended to calibrate the instruments provided by the pilot laboratory and shadow cone method and distance variation methods were required for correction of the scatter neutrons. The calibrated factor with uncertainty should be reported by the laboratory took part in the comparison. National Institute of Metrology(NIM) took part in the comparison. The calibration results submitted by the labs took part in the comparison are consistent with each other.
