Abstract Take the evaluation of measurement uncertainty of wind speed in the field of meteorology calibration as an example, in the conditions of the normal distribution and other distributions of input quantities,results of simplified wind speed model with GUM and MCM are comparative analysed,and the uncertainty of water vapor which is neglected in the simplified model is quantified.The results indicate that MCM can be used in a larger scale,especially for complicated models.Due to the omitted derivation process and the uncertainty calculation of all the factors,evaluation results of uncertainty in measurement with MCM are more reasonable and operable.
