Abstract A new localization algorithm that the LQI-based ranging technology is combined with the weighted centroid localization algorithm is described. Through data analysis and comparison, the LQI has the more stability and stronger anti-interference ability than the RSSI. Using Gauss filter model to deal with the measured value of the experiments, the accuracy of the data is increased. The logarithmic ranging formula based on RSSI and LQI was established respectively. Simulation experiments using centroid localization algorithm are carried out. The results show that the improved weighted centroid localization algorithm based on LQI can further improve positioning accuracy, and achieve a good positioning effect.
