Abstract The uncertainty for determination of clenbuterol residues in foodstuffs of animal origin by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry is described.A mathematic model for measuring clenbuterol residues is established.The uncertainty sources of test results are analyzed.Each component uncertainty is calculated through analyzing.The combined standard uncertainty is obtained and the expanded uncertainty is calculated as 0.030μg/kg while the clenbuterol residue in the sample is 0.513μg/kg.
