Abstract Bessel formula is always proposed to eatimate the standard deviation in unequal precision measurement. By studying the standard deviation estimation in unequal precision measurement, it proves the Bessel formula theoretically, and aslo it gives some notes and prerequisites about application of Bessel formula in unequal precision measurement data processing.
