Abstract:The reference radiations produced by radionuclide neutron sources can be used in routine calibration or scaling of the neutron survey meter, it also can be used as the basis platform of some experiments. The neutron reference radiation facility in the National Institute of Metrology is improved according to the ISO 8529—1 and the purposes of the facility. The facility fulfilled with the requirements of routine calibration for neutron instruments, and it can be used for the experiments for evaluating the neutron detectors and neutron protective materials.
