Abstract:By means of scanning electron microscope, metallographic microstructure observation and analysis, hardness test and chemical composition analysis of materials, the failure reasons of composite spring are explored. The fracture morphology of the spring shows that the spring suffered from fatigue failure, and the in-depth analysis results show that the fracture inducement can be considered as the stress at the contact point of the surface of the middle spring after the abnormal stress distortion of the spring, and the stress concentration starts the crack, thus the fatigue extension and torsion failure.
