Abstract:Obvious torque pulsation of switched reluctance motor is produced for its nonlinear electromagnetic characteristics and pulse working mode. In order to solve this problem, a method based on the principle of peak-valley complementary superposition is proposed, which through analyzing the switched reluctance motor torque ripple reason theoretically and measuring the torque ripple waveform. In this method, two sets of motor systems with the same stator rotor parameters are used, to generate torque ripple waveform with 180°phase difference, and the same amplitude approximately. Finally, the experimental results show that the pulsating torque measured by the above method can be reduced by 50%~60% compared with the single switched reluctance motor.
