Abstract：Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) is a public health emergency in China and world, which became international attention. It is very important to speed up the diagnosis and confirmation detection of suspected cases and quickly distinguish the disease of covid-19 from other diseases. The new corona pneumonia diagnosis and treatment plan（trial version sixth）issued by National Health Committee of the People's Republic of China has stipulated the nucleic acid detection of the new corona virus (2019-nCoV/SARS-CoV-2). In this paper, the detection methods of nucleic acid PCR and sequencing, including real time quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction（RT-PCR）, digital PCR detection and gene sequencing method are described to virus nucleic acid detection. A long time monitoring and biometrology standard system related to biosafety are prospected.
