Abstract:The relationship between fluorescence quality and thickness of radiator Sm2O3 or secondary filter CeO2 by simulating fluorescence instrument with MCNP program was described. When the thickness of Sm2O3 reached 0.4mm, K fluorescence yield is saturated. When the thickness of CeO2 was 0.55mm, Kα fluorescence purity optimum value is 96.6%. The results show that the higher X-ray tube voltage is, the bigger fluorescence yield is. Fluorescence purity reached optimum 82.26% when X-ray tube voltage was 80kV.
