Abstract:The filtered X-ray reference radiation of low air kerma rate series recommended by ISO 4037 was selected as the research object, the reasonable half-value layer measurement experiment was designed,the values of the first half-value layers were obtained. For the established radiation quality, the filtered X-ray energy spectrum was measured by CdZnTe spectrometer, then the measured pulse height spectrum was processed and converted to calculate the average energy. According to the attenuation law of X-ray in the material aluminum and copper, a single-energy X-ray attenuation curve was fitted to calculate the effective energy of the series of the filtered X-rays. The measured and calculated results were compared with the recommended values, and both are in good agreement. Compared with the half value layer of ISO, the deviations are less than 5.0%.
