Adjustment and Error Analysis of the Length Measurement System for the Scale-bar Based on Photogrammetry

Abstract:The precision of a scale-bar directly influences the accuracy of measurement results as it is used as the length standard of photogrammetry. In order to ensure the measuring accuracy of a scale-bar length, a measurement system composed of a aerostatic guideway, a laser interferometer and a CCD imaging system are designed, and the influence factors of the accuracy of the measurement system are analyzed, meanwhile, the adjustment errors of the imaging position of retro-reflective target (RRT), the CCD camera optical axis, the laser interferometer, the scale-bar and the rotation around its own optical axis of CCD imaging system in the measurement system are calculated and analyzed to guide the adjustment processes of CCD imaging system, the laser interferometer and the scale-bar. Finally, the measurement system is used to measure the length of a kind of scale-bar at different times. The experimental result shows that the standard deviation of the scale-bar’s length can reach 1 μm which can meet the requirements of industrial photogrammetry.
