Abstract:In order to study the effect of bushing on the triple point of water (TPW), the thermometer well which have diameters of 16 mm and 18mm respectively are developed, and the bushing with diameter of 15.5 mm. The resistance of the standard platinum resistance thermometer in the well with bushing and without bushing are measured, by the AC bridge which the accuracy is 0.02×10-6. The experiment results indicated that the bushing have little effect on the value of TPW, less than 30 μK. Additionally, under the same conditions, the more uniformity between the diameters of bushing and thermometer well, the less influence on the values of TPW.
